The "Rebuilding of America's Baptist Churches" is something that is becoming an increasing burden of my heart. Growing up in the small town of Bristol, TN, I attended what I considered to be the best church on the face of the earth. Through the years, I saw literally thousands come to know Christ as Savior and grow as a true servant of Jesus Christ. Of course we have all seen the alarming trends of local independent, fundamental, Bible believing and Bible preaching churches that are what we all think to be a downward spiral. I am here to say that is not true and the trend can be changed starting now. The purpose of our ministry is to locate or hear of church facilities that have closed down (for whatever reason), reopen them, reestablish them, rebuild them and reignite them in the local community. I am not concerned at all about the size of the facility, I am concerned about a local house of worship that has closed it's doors! When a door to the house of the Lord closes, the door of opportunity to present the gospel and win lost souls to the Lord Jesus will close as well. This has an alarming effect on our communities, on our country but most importantly on eternity. This trend has to stop and it must stop today! After locating such church facilities, we will then locate a Pastor that will be carefully questioned on a number of topics and doctrines, then we will place him in the pulpit to serve the Lord in that local church. I personally know as I continue to pray about this burden the Lord has placed upon my heart, it seems and looks to be an impossible task. Trust me when I say, I do not know what is ahead as I know there will be many obstacles and needs to overcome. I just know that I serve a God that is able to do exceeding, abundantly above all that we ask or think. All of us would agree that we need good, sound, fundamental, Bible believing, Bible preaching churches in our communities to get America back to God. After all, God has placed churches in the local community for a purpose and reason. That is why I am giving of myself totally to rebuilding and/or reopening local baptist churches through service, the spreading of the Gospel, strengthening the things that remain, but also to see a sweeping revival in this country. Will you please join me in praying about this "impossible" task that God will change our hearts, our direction and that we would do all that is necessary so we can God at work once again in our local churches, our communities and our country once again? May we all be willing to take on the "impossible" and make "possibilities" out of them.
